There are three main costs for applying for Probate (or Letters of Administration / Reseals) in Queensland:

1 Supreme Court of Queensland Filing Fee
The Supreme Court of Queensland charges a fixed cost for Probate applications. The current filing fee for the 2024/2025 financial year is $793.00. This will be payable directly to the Supreme Court of Queensland.
2 Qld Probate (or Administration/Reseal) Advertising Fee
A notice of any application for Probate or Letters of Administration in Queensland must be published in the Queensland Law Reporter, a digital publication. It is no longer required to publish these notices in physical newspapers.
The current cost for publishing this notice is $161.70. We will take care of the publication of this notice for your matter at-cost.
3 Probate Solicitor Fee
Hourly billable rates / phone calls / printing / postage?.
